LHC suspends decision to place NEPRA under ministry of water and power
LHC directed federation to submit reply till November-8.
LAHORE (Dunya News)- In a landmark decision on Wednesday, Lahore High Court (LHC) has suspended decision to place National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) under ministry of power and water.
According to details, LHC Chief Justice (CJ) resumed hearing on petition. Following judgment, LHC suspended decision of cabinet division and directed federation to submit reply till November-8.
Back then in December-2016, OGRA and NEPRA were among five regulators which had been placed under command of ministries by the federal government.
