Record of 1 lac pounds in Niazi Services account not found, Bukhari tells SC

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Bukhari has on Tuesday told the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan during the disqualification case hearing that the record of one lac pounds in Niazi Services Limited (NSL) account could not be found.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar remarked only that record is brought into being which is in your favor, and the other remains missing. Bukhari claimed that the one lac pounds that were kept in NSL account from 2003 to 2007 did not belong to Imran Khan.

The lawyer said while arguing on the additional documents that were submitted in SC that PTI chief had declared the amount of Bani Gala property map in his assets, and the money was refunded when the map was rejected.

CJP commented that it would have been better had you presented these papers earlier so that the other party could also argue on them. Bukhari said that the issue raised by the petitioner is not of London flat, but of not declaring the offshore company.

Akram Sheikh, counsel of petitioner Hanif Abbasi, said he will provide an answer if the apex court issues notice on miscellaneous application, and maintained that documents are not submitted like this in the article 3/184 case. The court then served a notice to Abbasi to render his reply.
