Next phase of Kulsoom Nawaz's treatment to start soon: Captain (r) Safdar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law and Member of National Assembly Captain (r) Safdar said that the next phase of Kulsoom Nawaz’s lymphoma treatment is about to start in London.

Talking to media, Captain (r) Safdar said that Kulsoom Nawaz’s health is better now whereas her treatment will start soon. He  said that he will also address the NA session today.

Responding to a question related to Intelligence Bureau (IB) report about parliamentarians, he said that the PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has already given explanation on it.

On the other hand, ousted PM’s daughter Maryam Nawaz held meetings with ministers and discussed ongoing political situation and accountability court’s hearings.

Sources told that Maryam Nawaz will travel from Islamabad to Lahore today. 

Earlier, Accountability court approved bails of ex-prime minister Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar after their appearances in references filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over Panama Leaks case.

Lawyer Tariq Fazal Chaudhry submitted two surety bonds worth Rs5 million each after which they both granted bails.

The court had also rejected NAB’s request to confiscate Safdar’s passport and to issue his judicial remand, however, the accused was directed not to leave the country without court’s permission. Copies of references were also handed over to the PML-N leader.
