LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif has said on Wednesday that he recommended Nawaz Sharif to expel the official from the cabinet who is found responsible for alteration of the word in Khatm-i-Naboowat clause in Electoral Reforms Bill 2017.

The chief minister addressed a workers’ convention of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in AlHamra Art Centre.

He said that the entire country was focused on NA-120 by-polls on September 17 and Muslim League-Nawaz was victorious once again. He said that he could not visit NA-120 during by-polls electioneering as he was busy finding solutions to issues faced by the people including that of power outages.

As many as 18 hour-long power outages were exercised before PML-N assumed the federal power in 2013, he said. People are relieved of long hours of power outages today, only because of the efforts put up by the federal as well as the provincial government.

CM Shehbaz congratulated Pervez Malik and his entire team over NA-120 by-polls win.

He criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan by saying that he took up ‘stay in the moutains’ when Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was hit by dengue crisis. He rhetorically asked Khan how many Mega Watts of electricity does Khyber Pakhtunkhwa produce.

While talking about Khatm-i-Naboowat clause in Electoral Reforms Bill 2017, the chief minister said that Nawaz Sharif took an immediate action in the issue and that the official responsible for the change of the word would be expelled from the cabinet.
