Five killed, 37 injured in separate road mishaps in Karachi, Multan

Investigation into both accidents have been started by the officials.

KARACHI/MULTAN (Dunya News) – At least five people were killed while five others sustained severe injuries in a collision between trolley and a van in Karachi today (Friday).

According to details, the accident took place at Samundari Road near Jahangir Chowk where a speeding trolley rammed into a van, killing five people who were identified as Naikian Bibi, Korahi Bibi, Jahangir, Murtaza and Sonia.

The injured were immediately shifted to the civil hospital for medical assistance whereas the families staged protest by keeping bodies on the road and demanded early detention of the trolley driver.

Meanwhile, in Multan, as many as 33 people got wounded when a speeding bus turned turtle near Bahawalpur Road.

The rescue officials said that the bus was enroute to Sadiqabad from Sialkot when the mishap took place due to driver’s negligence.

The victims were taken to Nishtar Hospital where the doctors said that 10 patients are in critical condition.
