ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Security personnel deployed outside the accountability court in Islamabad subjected Dunya News reporter Amir Saeed Abbasi to severe torture for covering the proceedings.

The incident occurred as former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appeared before the NAB court over corruption references filed against him.
A huge number of media representatives were present outside the accountability court. Security personnel forced the journalists out from the court while barring them from covering the proceedings.

They also ruthlessly tortured Dunya News reporter as a result of which he fell unconscious and was provided medical assistance.
Journalists strongly protested against the incident and raised slogans. They have demanded to take strict action against those responsible.
