The case was heard by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Monday adjourned the contempt of court hearing against Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed and Home Secretary Azam Suleman who failed to provide the judicial inquiry report into the Model Town killings despite court orders.

Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi heard the case today in which Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) counsel Khwaja Tariq Rahim took the stance that the court had directed Azam Suleman to release the report but the orders were not followed, which is a contempt of court. Khwaja Tariq requested LHC to take action against the responsible persons.

The Punjab government’s lawyer argued that an intra-court appeal has already been filed against the decision, upon which Justice Mazahir clarified that the proceedings of this case will be continued after the decision on intra-court appeal comes.
