'Durable peace in world not possible without addressing political disputes'
Pakistan urged world community to help correct historic injustices to Kashmiris and Palestinians.
UNITED NATIONS (Dunya News) - Pakistan s Ambassador to the United Nations, Dr Maleeha Lodhi on Thursday has urged the world community to help correct historic injustices to people of Kashmir and Palestine.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly she said that plight and suffering of the Kashmiri people should shake world conscience and urged urgent action.
Maleeha Lodhi said that durable peace in the world is not possible without addressing political disputes, economic and social deprivation and situations of political injustice
She said that UN s focus today is on prevention and sustaining peace. Conflict resolution however holds key to addressing old and new challenges.
