ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A meeting of National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) executive board has begun today (Thursday) to discuss filing of references against Sharif family in Panama Leaks case.

According to details, Chairman Qamar Zaman is chairing the session that was postponed on Wednesday due to the absence of Prosecutor General Ashtar Ausaf.

Sources told that references will be filed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad’s accountability courts after the approval.

Earlier, a local had submitted a petition to freeze all assets held by Sharif family and Ishaq Dar. NAB chairperson dismissed the petition, and decided to send the matter to the accountability court. Also, the plea to name members of Sharif family as well as Ishaq Dar in Exit Control List (ECL) was rejected.

Qamar Zaman decided that both matters will be resolved by NAB court.

Supreme Court had directed NAB to prepare three references in which one was regarding Al-Azizia Steel Mill while the other two were about London flats and 16 offshore companies held by the Sharif family.

SC had disqualified Nawaz Sharif in Panama case verdict on the basis of his non-withdrawn salary, considering it part of his assets on July 28.
