Kh Asif admits there are factions within PML-N
Nawaz Sharif's disqualification revealed disagreements within ruling party causing Rashid-Nisar rift
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Saturday said there are factions within Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), admitting the ongoing disagreements within the leaders of ruling party.
He believes that it is not new to witness grouping in political parties. “Differences within parties are the beauty of democracy,” he stated.
However, political analysts argued that the differences emerging within PML-N are giving a clue of bigger conflicts ahead. They commented on Asif’s statements and shed light on the ongoing conflict between former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar and ex-information minister Pervaiz Rashid.
It should be recalled that Nisar s spokesperson reacted to Rashid’s statement by demanding off him to urge the government to public Dawn Leaks probe report if he is as innocent as he claims to be. Rashid had earlier said that decisions came against their party in the tenure despite ruling the interior ministry.
