PAF aircraft crashes while on routine training near Sargodha

A lone pilot was flying the jet but no confirmation has yet been made regarding his survival.

SARGODHA (Dunya News) - A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jet crashed near Sargodha while on routine operational training on Thursday.

According to PAF press release, "Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a PAF F7-PG aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, crashed near Sargodha. The pilot of the aircraft ejected safely.”

The jet was being flown by a lone pilot Lt. Bilal who fortunately survived the crash. He is is currently injured but out of danger. Moreover, no loss of life and property of civilian population was reported in the crash.



Rescue efforts were initiated whereas an inquiry board has been formed to determine the cause of the accident. Initial reports suggest that the aircraft crashed due to technical fault.
