Lahore: Preparations for PAT sit-in in full swing
PAT ignored court orders and continued preparations to stage a sit-in at Mall Road on Tuesday.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Preparations for Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to stage a sit-in at the Istanbul Chowk on Mall Road today (Wednesday) were in full swing, Dunya News reportrd.
Earlier, Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday barred PAT from making arrangements for a sit-in at Mall Road. But PAT is still optimistic about staging a sit-in.
The central spokesperson of PAT, Noorullah Siddiqui, while talking to media on Tuesday night said that the court has not yet given any verdict about sit-in and added that PAT will satisfy the court today in this regard. He said that staging a protest is the constitutional right of everyone.
He further said that the heirs of martyrs of Model Town are staging this sit-in at the Mall Road not the Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
