Air show by PAF imprints artistry on Independence Day

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The air show performed by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on the 70th Independence Day imprinted its professional skills and artistry in the federal capital, and was attended by President Mamnoon Hussain and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Sohail Aman.

The breathtaking formation shown by the aircrafts of PAF became the center of attraction for all. F-16 and JF-17 Thunder planes participated in the fascinating display, and wonderful paratrooping from Mi-17 helicopter was also a part of the show. The paratroopers who came down with Pakistan flags received appreciation from all.

Aerobatic teams from Turkey and Saudi Arabia also performed along with Pakistan Air Force to mark 70th Independence anniversary.

The special appearance of "Solo Turk", the famous Turkish aerobatic team of Turkish Air Force and the internationally acclaimed "Saudi Hawks" of Royal Saudi Air Force alongside PAF aircraft added colors to the mega event.

Another salient feature of the show was the Tri-Services free fall display of Special Services personnel.

While addressing the closing ceremony, President Mamnoon Hussain said no internal or external outbreak can affect the spirits of this nation.

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said the enemies of the East and the West should know that Pakistan stands on its principles. The voice of Kashmiris cannot be kept muffled forever, he remarked.

He said the issue of terrorism is needed to be understood, and the nation is united against this evil by the grace of Allah Almighty.
