Govt employees to receive salaries till August 28 ahead of Eidul Azha
The decision has been made to allow families to meet their needs for Eidul Azha.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government employees will receive their monthly salaries in advance ahead of Eidul Azha set to occur in the beginning of September.
Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) has approved to pay salaries to federal employees till August 28 in view of the approaching Eid vacations. He has directed the banks to transfer the amount in the accounts of the employees till the said date.
Meanwhile, similar notifications have also been issued by Punjab and Sindh Finance Department.
The decision has been made to allow families to meet their needs for Eidul Azha and enjoy quality time during the holidays.
Eidul Azha or the Festival of Sacrifice celebrates the end of the Haj pilgrimage to Makkah and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (A.S.) readiness to sacrifice his son to show obedience to God.
