Petition has been submitted to the SC and ECP to restrict Nawaz's activities on running the party

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)— A petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court against the former PM Nawaz Sharif to restrain him on heading the political party Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N).

Another submission is also made to the Election Commission for the abrogation of the ruling political party PML-N owing to being headed by a disqualified person. Moreover, it is also referred to by the submission that Nawaz should be stopped from heading party meetings — since he has been disqualified, he should refrain from the activities of the political party.

In addition to this, it is also stated that the name of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for the nomination of a candidate for premier as proposed by Nawaz was unconstitutional.
