President calls NA session for election of interim PM on Aug 1
It is likely that the fresh premier will take oath on August 2nd or August 3rd
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain has summoned a session of National Assembly (NA) on August 1st to elect fresh leader of the House after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over top court’s order.
The session was summoned after ministry of parliamentary affairs forwarded a summary to President Mamnoon.
According to the law, the session will witness speaker of assembly Ayaz Sadiq announce schedule for election of the fresh Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan.

It is likely that the fresh premier will take oath on August 2nd or August 3rd.
Earlier today, former premier announced petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to be the interim PM and Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif to fill his shoes after 45 days.
