FO welcomes Security Council's move against Jamaat-ul-Ahrar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office (FO) has welcomed sanctions on Jamaat-ul-Ahrar on Friday by a committee of the Security Council after the government had recommended designating the terror outfit an internationally banned organisation.

Reportedly, bank accounts of operatives of the terrorist outfit have been frozen while sale of weapons banned.

The terror organisation headquarters in Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan and has carried out several bombings across Pakistan.

The government had called for an international ban on the organisation after which the 1627 Sanctions Committee of the Security Council designated the outfit.
