The death toll from van catching fire in Multan climbed to seven and one more victim died on Monday.

MULTAN (Dunya News) - The death toll from van catching fire in Multan has reached seven as one more victim died at the Nishtar Hospital Multan on early Monday morning.

Hospital sources said that four-year-old Sadia died at the Burn Unit of the Nishtar Hospital on Monday.

At least six people were killed and 24 others were wounded when a van caught fire on Sunday near Head Muhammadwala area in Multan. Police and rescue sources said that the fire was caused by a short circuit.

The van was en route to Multan from Chowk Sarwar Shaheed. According to details, at least 40 persons of a family, on board two vans, were travelling to Multan from Muzaffargarh for picnic. One of the vans caught fire near Head Muhammadwala area in Multan, killing six people on the spot and injuring 24 others.
