Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage held media talk in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb said Saturday the Panama case probe, tasked to Joint Investigation Team (JIT), will be incomplete without the reply on objections and concerns shown regarding their members and procedure.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders held a media talk after the appearance of Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif before the JIT today. They asked the Supreme Court to take suo motu action against allegations by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali was also present at the press conference where he specifically said about Imran Khan, “We will treat him well”. He said we respond to accusations by appearing before JIT while institutions remain silent when the PTI Chief is questioned.

He expressed concerns over the allegations of ‘conspiracy against judiciary and army’ remarks from Imran Khan. He said they cannot allow this to happen as it appears like the PTI Chairman is ‘sacred cow’ now. He also criticised PTI leader and lawmaker Shah Mehmood Qureshi by declaring him a thief.

Similarly, Marriyum Aurangzeb asked the apex court to take notice of the reservations addressed by Sharif family on JIT probe. “Any verdict without considering these objections will be against Pakistan’s laws and constitution,” she added.

She also bashed Imran Khan by suggesting him to first complete his own accountability as he ran away from the Election Commission of Pakistan, Supreme Court and anti-terrorism court.
