Punjab CM presented himself before the Panama probe JIT upon the summon

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif met his brother and Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, in the capital today after his appearance before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe Panama case.

Shehbaz Sharif was summoned by the JIT earlier this week whereas the PM has already appeared before the probe team on June 15. After the appearance, he talked to media and said, "Today is another historic day when for the first time an elected provincial chief minister presented himself before the investigation team."

His son Hamza Shahbaz, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and several leaders as well as workers from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had joined him when he arrived at the Federal Judicial Academy.

In the Islamabad meeting, the two political leaders discussed the questions by the JIT and Punjab CM shared the details of documents presented to them. PM Nawaz has said the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party will cooperate with the investigation team for the supremacy of law and judiciary.

He said the Sharif family will keep presenting it before the investigation as done by himself, his sons and brother. The premier told they have provided all necessary documents to the JIT for their accountability.

“Sharif family was held accountable before and they were let go scot-free. We will continue succeeding in future also,” he added.

Also, PM Nawaz had talked to media after his appearance before JIT on June 15. He said, "“I have presented myself, government and family before JIT for trial.”
