Zakat, Fitrana collection of banned outfits declines: report
Policemen have been deployed in vicinities of mosques
KARACHI (Dunay News)- No activity pertaining to collection of Zakat and Fitrana by banned outfit in Karachi has been reported thus far, reported Roznama Dunya.
Sources privy to police told Dunya News that police have been deployed in vicinities of mosques and madrassas.
According to details, banned outfit and certain political parties garner mammoth amount of fiscal collection in Ramazan in terms of Zakat and Fitrana. Against this backdrop, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) ensured stern arrangements this year to curb the illicit practice resulting a significant decrease in collection of banned outfits.
An officer of Sindh Special Branch Police, on condition of anonymity, informed our correspondent that no division has thus far submitted report pertaining to collection of Zakat and Fitrana by banned outfits.
Another police official, when contacted, told that several sittings are being arranged to oversee security matters in Ramazan.
