According to the bureau, over 100 officials were served notices

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In reaction to head of Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT), Wajid Zia’s complaint before the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP), National Accountability Bureau (NAB) maintained on Tuesday that Irfan Naeem Mangi was served notice over speeches that violated code.

According to the bureau, over 100 officials were served notices and Mangi was not an exception. The department has asserted that notice was served out of top court’s order.

The committee formed by the apex court in the matter is headed by Secretary of Establishment Division and that the notices were served long before the JIT was constituted.

Rebuttal of the accountability department has come in after JIT head, Additional Director General of Federal Investigation Team (FIA) complained to the court last week that an official of the probe committee, Mangi was served notice to allegedly influence team’s report.

Wajid Zia had written to the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) last week about the difficulties being faced by the JIT in probing the first family of Pakistan over corruption allegations.
