PMD had forecast a spell of rain with thunderstorm in parts of Pakistan

SARGODHA (Dunya News) – Parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) witnessed rains on Saturday evening bringing a respite for the people living through long hours of power outages in energy crisis-hit country.

Reportedly, Sargodha, Pindi Bhatian and surrounding areas witnessed hail while it rained in Pind Dadan Khan. Drizzle in Narowal and adjoining areas turned the weather pleasant.





Other areas that saw the rain today include Jhelum and Dera Ghazi Khan while areas of Jindol saw a hailstorm.

Earlier, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had forecast a spell of rain with thunderstorm in parts of the country including Lahore and Kashmir.

The office reported that rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds was likely at isolated places in Hazara, Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan division, FATA, Islamabad and Kashmir.

However, hot and dry weather was forecast for rest of the country including Sindh where the mercury was likely to hit 45 degrees Centigrade in Jacobabad, Larkana and Nawabshah while it will be recorded 37 degrees in Karachi.
