World Oceans Day is being celebrated today
World Oceans Day is a global day of ocean celebration and collaboration for a better future.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - People across the world including Pakistan are celebrating World Oceans Day today (Thursday). World Oceans Day is celebrated on June 8 around the world every year.
The oceans cover 70 percent area of earth and source of 80 percent of the air we breathe. The oceans are also sources of 40 percent of fresh water.
The Day has been coordinated and promoted internationally by The Ocean Project since 2002 and has been officially recognised by the United Nations since 2008.
