Opposition boycotts NA session over speech broadcast restrictions
The opposition said it will only attend the NA proceedings when budget speeches are telecasted live.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition has Tuesday walked out of National Assembly session over budget speeches broadcast restriction, and said it will only attend the proceedings when speeches are telecasted live on the national TV.
Opposition leader Khursheed Shah, in his speech, first criticized the government by reciting a poetic verse, then warned Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq to air budget speeches live to ensure opposition’s participation.
Khursheed Shah further said we should not be scared of any Modi or Jindal, we should be afraid of Allah only, as He holds the power over all.
The opposition walked out of NA under the leadership of Khursheed Shah, and bashed government in media talk afterwards. The opposition members said that people become strong by empowering parliament, and it should be the center of all politics and leaders.
