ECP provided details of assets of PM Nawaz Sharif, his son-in-law to JIT investigating Panama Leaks

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Thursday provided the details of the assets of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar to Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigating the Panama Leaks issue, reported Dunya News.

JIT had written a letter to ECP demanding the details of the assets of PM and his son-in-law for the investigations of the allegations levelled against them in Panama Leaks case. They told ECP that the asset details must be provided to them because both are members of the national assembly.

ECP told the JIT that the asset details from 2013 to 2916 were being provided. ECP also told that the law about declaring the asset details was made in 2002 and thus the record prior to it wasn’t available.
