Maulana Tariq Jameel offloaded from Toronto-bound flight in Dubai
He was going to Toronto along with former captain Shahid Afridi.
DUBAI (Dunya News) - Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel was offloaded on Wednesday from a Toronto-bound flight at Dubai airport.
He was going to Toronto along with former captain Shahid Afridi to attend a charity event organized by his foundation.
However; Afridi then went alone for Toronto. Explaining the matter Afridi said that Maulana Tariq Jameel was barred from the flight due to security risks.
Negotiations are underway with the Dubai authorities for his security clearance, he added.
Yesterday, Afridi posted about the fundraising dinner on Twitter.
