SCBA demands resignation from PM
Pakistan Bar Council links Panama Leaks case decision to the findings of Joint Investigation Team
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has on Thursday demanded resignation from Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in view of Panama case decision. Meanwhile, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) linked the decision to the findings of the proposed Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in the decision, reported Dunya News.
SCBA Secretary Aftab Bajwa said that the JIT won’t be able to investigate the case transparently in the presence of PM Nawaz Sharif because all the officers under PM. He further stated that PM must resign so that the JIT may carry out the investigations freely.
PBC however linked the decision to the findings of the proposed JIT. Vice Chairman Ahsan Bhoon said that the political parties were misleading the nation.
Lahore High Court Bar declared the decision to be in line with the law and the constitution.
