The international NGOs will be working in Pakistan under a defined code of conduct

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan expressed that there have been complaints about the misuse of Pakistani passports.

He revealed that a woman, who is a foreign national, will be awarded one year visa in the first stage if she marries in Pakistan.

The interior minister let it be known that the Pakistan origin card will be reviewed once more and the government has decided to re-launch Pakistan Origin Card with a new name as Temporary Residence Card.

He expressed that certain NGOs had been operating without registration in the past and now the international NGOs will be working in Pakistan under a defined code of conduct. 

Chaudhry Nisar professed at the occasion that Pakistani visas were issued haphazardly during the past and that visas were issued without any sort of security clarification whatsoever.

He let it be known that actions have been taken about visa process over the last three years and nobody could get into Pakistan without any documents.

The interior minister also revealed that nobody will be allowed landing card in future.

He expressed that we are working on online visa system.

While responding a question relating to Dawn Leaks, Nisar professed that an agreement has been reached over the matter and that the interior ministry will receive the report in a few days.

Chaudhry Nisar commented during the press conference that Khanani and Kalia is the case of year 2008 and that new inquiry had been started in the case.

He professed that bureaucrats, businessmen and politicians are involved in the mentioned case and that some local banks are also indulged in it.

The interior minister let it be known that the investigation officer in Khanani and Kalia case will also be questioned and letters will be written to USA, UK and UAE while at the same time other records will be activated.

Chaudhry Nisar professed that the issue of identity cards does not pertain to Pashtun or Punjabi but in fact to Pakistan.

He expressed that politics over sensitive matters need to be stopped.

The interior minister revealed that the identity cards of non-pashtun people have also been blocked.
