Heat intensity still persists in the Sindh province.

LARKANA / NAWABSHAH (Dunya News) – Met Office has predicted on Friday that temperature in Larkana and Nawabshah will shot to 47 degrees celsius.

Heat intensity still persists in the Sindh province however; the arrival of southwestern winds in Karachi has broken the reign of surging temperature.

According to Met office, weather in the city will remain hot and dry in the next 24 hours with temperature likely to remain between 37-39 degrees.

The wind will possibly blow at a speed of 5-15 knot.

Dadu is likely to experience temperature between 44-46 degrees and Hyderabad 43-45 degrees.

The sudden rise of temperature in Karachi created fear among the people, reminding them of the treacherous heat wave in 2015.

Two years back, temperatures touched 44 degrees Celsius (111 degrees Fahrenheit) in the steamy port city, the hottest since 1981 and above normal summer levels of around 37°C (99F).

The worst heat wave to hit Karachi for nearly 35 years killed more than 1,000 people.

The problem was compounded by power cuts which left people unable to cool themselves with fans and air conditioners, particularly affecting those unable to afford generators.
