Two hardcore terrorists hanged in Sahiwal jail: ISPR

The two were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, states the media cell

(Web Desk) – Two hardcore terrorists have been hanged in Sahiwal jail on Tuesday night after a military court tried and awarded them death sentences, media cell of Pakistan Army reported.

Inter-Services of Public Relations reported that the two were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, including killing of civilians, attacking armed forces, law enforcement agencies, polio vaccination team and employees of an NGO.

Details of each case let out by the ISPR are:

1. Muhammad Shahid Omar S/O Zaman Khan. The convict was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking Armed Forces of Pakistan, Law Enforcement Agencies, polio vaccination team, employees of a Non Governmental Organization and killing of civilians. The convict admitted his offences before the Magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence.

2. Fazl e Haq S/O Shahdad. The convict was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He kidnapped and amputated hands of four police officials. He was also involved in killing of innocent civilians and attacking Law Enforcement Agencies, which resulted in death of civilian Abdul Wahab and Police Constable Saif ur Rehman. The convict admitted his offences before the Magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence.

Pakistan has lifted a moratorium on death penalties early 2015 after a deadly attack on Army Public School by Tehrik-i-Taliban on December 16, 2014 claimed over 140 lives, mostly young students.
