ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Men having more than one wife can only lead one family as per the rules of census. The decision has created a new worry for the polygamous families.
Also, the rest of the houses will be headed by other wives. It will be interesting to see which wife is appointed as the wife number 1 by the men with multiple wives.
According to the rules, the wives who have not been given the priority by husbands will be counted as the guardian of their respective family. Census Chief Commissioner said that people with multiple wives could now only head one family whereas other houses will be led by wives themselves.
