Interior Ministry official arrested over fake visa extension
The incident appears to be an important development in Karachi passport office corruption case
KARACHI (Dunya News) – An official of the Interior Ministry was arrested from Karachi by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on charges of fake visa extension.
According to the FIA, the suspect Muhammad Sajid was arrested upon identification by another official. Sajid was involved in receiving bribes and conducting extension of visas on the basis of fake stamps.
The suspect used to accompany the officials of Karachi passport office in carrying out the illegal act. The incident appears to be an important development in Karachi passport office corruption case
Meanwhile, the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has directed the FIA officials to take action against all those people involved in illegal activities.
