Unprovoked Afghan firing on Monday claimed the lives of the valiant soldiers

UMERKOT (Dunya News) – Lance Naik Safdar Hussain, Sepoy Naik Muhammad and Lance Naik Sanaullah who embraced martyrdom in Mohmand Agency due to unprovoked Afghan firing were laid to rest in their native towns on Tuesday.

Sepoy Naik Muhammad and Lance Naik Sanaullah belonged to Umarkot while Lance Naik Safdar Hussain hailed from Naushahro Feroze district of Sindh.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, army’s retaliation killed 15 terrorists yesterday. Director General of the media cell, Major General Asif Ghafoor reported that funeral prayers of the martyred soldiers were offered on Monday at Peshawar Garrison. Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, KP Governor, Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed Butt among senior serving civil and military officers attended the funeral prayers.

The bodies were shifted to their native towns today and laid to rest with full military honour.

According to the army, unprovoked Afghan firing claimed the lives of the valiant soldiers. Terms between Pakistan and Afghanistan spiraled down after Islamabad sealed the borders with the neighbouring country following terror attacks in Lahore, Quetta, Sehwa Sharif and other parts of Pakistan claiming over 100 lives and leaving more than 200 wounded.
