CM Khattak welcomed holding the match in Lahore

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak has said that he would visit Lahore and witness final match of Pakistan Super League 2017 at Gaddafi Stadium on March 5.

Statement of the Chief Minister has come in contradiction of Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan’s stance that opposes organising the final match of the league in Pakistan owing to security concerns.

In his statement, CM Khattak welcomed holding the match in Lahore and he hoped that no untoward incident takes place on March 5.

He addressed the media during his visit to Nowshehra Police Training Centre.

CM Khattak said that he is occupied with work but would make sure he visits the stadium to witness the match if her gets some time to spare.

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced to hold the final match in Pakistan after Government of Punjab gave ago-ahead yesterday.

Law Minister of Punjab, Rana Sanaullah said that five-tier security would be maintained while chairman of the league, Najam Sethi said that all the hotels in the vicinity of the stadium and Nihstar Park Sports Complex would be closed until March 5.

Tickets of the Gaddafi Stadium clash are available now and reportedly, prices of the four categories announced have gone high with over 100 percent increase.
