LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif has censured officials concerned of Saaf Pani Project after corruption on part of top-level officers was exposed earlier.

CM Shehbaz addressed inauguration ceremony of the project in a private hotel today in the metropolis.

In his address, the Chief Minister asserted that indiscriminate action against all those involved in corruption incidence would be taken.

CM Shehbaz also criticised the fact that machinery for Nandipur power project was held in Karachi for at least four years. He said that most of the national institutions had fallen weak by the time Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was given mandate to lead by the people the state.

Last year in December, the Chief Minister had sacked top officials of the project over corruption accusations and unnecessary delay in completion of projects concerning supply of potable water across Punjab.
