New Year celebrations: Section-144 imposed in Karachi, sea view routes blocked
SSP South has directed to take steps to maintain law and order in the metropolis.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Provincial authorities on Saturday have finalized a strict security plan for New Year night in Karachi.
According to details, section-144 has been imposed in the metropolis whereas swimming at the sea side has also been banned due to security concerns.
The roads heading to sea view have also been blocked by placing containers while only two routes would be opened for transportation.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Saqib Ismail has directed the officers to adopt steps to avoid any untoward situation in the city.
He said stern action would be taken against the violators.
