PML-N's senator Nihal Hashmi meets Mayor of Karachi
Waseem Akhtar reviewed progress made under cleanliness campaign
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Senator belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nihal Hashmi met with Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar on Monday.
Analysts have highlighted today Hashmi’s earlier criticism on same party’s ex-governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad as the senator had termed him a terrorist then.
On the occasion, Akhtar said that the people were so fed up of dumps across Karachi that they were not demanding authorities to provide them jobs but clear waste and garbage. Hashmi, adding to the conversation said that Mayor of Karachi should have authorities like those given to the Mayor of London.
Separately, Waseem Akhtar paid a visit to Manzoor Colony on Allama Iqbal Road and reviewed progress made under cleanliness campaign he had launched earlier.
