Abdul Rehman Bhola, prime suspect in Baldia Factory tragedy, was arrested by Interpol, Thai police

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team will fly to Bangkok for Abdul Rehman aka Bhola’s arrest who was caught on Saturday in Thailand by Interpol and Thai police. Bhola is a prime suspect in Baldia Factory tragedy, reported Dunya News.

According to police, Abdul Rehman Bhola is a prime suspect in Baldia Town factory tragedy and allegedly one of the three key men behind the tragedy that culminated into deaths of 257 people. Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) operational officials Hammad Siddique, Zubair Chariya and Abdul Rehman Bhola are accused of setting the factory on fire for not paying Rs 200 million in extortion.

After the arrest, Bangkok’s crime suppression division handed Bhola to the local police. Dunya News also obtained the footage of inquiry from Abdul Rehman Bhola.

Bangkok police’s senior officials can be seen probing Abdul Rehman Bhola in the footage. Sources told Dunya News that Bhola will be handed over to Pakistani officials on Monday. FIA has formed a two-member team comprising Rehmat Ullah Domki and Badr ud-Din Baloch to take Bhola into custody and bring him to Pakistan.

The suspect has remained a sector in-charge of MQM. Photos of him along with MQM MNA from the constituency have also surfaced.
