Govt announces hike in petroleum prices
Petrol price would increase by Rs. 2/litre while high speed diesel price will hike by Rs. 2.70/litre
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Government has announced hike in prices of petroleum products.
According to the new notification, petrol prices would increase by Rs. 2/litre while high speed diesel’sprice will hike by Rs. 2.70/litre.
However, no price change will be observed in case of kerosene and light diesel oil.
Earlier, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sent a detailed summary to the finance ministry in this regard.
The summary forwarded by OGRA to the ministry recommended a Rs 4/litre hike in petrol while Rs 5.42/ litre hike in high speed diesel prices.
The authority has also recommended upward revision of kerosene oil by Rs 2.81/litre whereas a downward revision in price of light speed diesel by Rs 0.13/litre was recommended.
