Tariq Fazal claimed that transportation of goods had come to grind halt across the country

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Pakistan Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday has said that Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was culpable under contempt of court for pursuing  lockdown  agenda after Islamabad High Court (IHC) barred all related activities.

Rafique addressed a press conference in the federal capital today to apparently denounce PTI and its leaders for pursuing pressure tactics against the government, the latest of which is alleged lockdown of Islamabad on November 2.

He branded Imran Khan, a risk for national stability and democracy.

The federal minister said that Imran Khan was not trustworthy and that rhetorically inquired about the law that permitted him to use copter dedicated for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government.

He also criticised chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid for alleged illegal occupation of ten-marla Lal Haveli.

Rafique criticised vice-chairman of PTI, Shah Mehmood Qureshi by terming one of his recent statements, shameful.

State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also addressed the media after Saad Rafique during which he furthered government’s stance against PTI’s alleged paralysis of the federal capital.

Fazal claimed that transportation of goods had come to grind halt across the country ahead of PTIs’ protest.

While answering questions, Saad Rafique said that the government would not let the issue spiral out of control leading to possibility of loss of lives. Responding to another question, the federal minister said that though Khan was a proclaimed offender, he could not be sent to jail as “powder” was not supplied there.
