Nisar orders inquiry after FC guard slaps female reporter in Karachi
The federal minister has ordered an inquiry into the incident
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has taken notice of woman journalist’s thrashing by a security guard of Frontier Coprs (FC) on Friday for asking questions.
The development has come in the incident that happened earlier today in Karachi’s Liaquatabad where in office of National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), a woman journalist named Saima Kanwal was slapped by a security guard.
The federal minister has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
The journalist, working for K-21 channel registered a case against the security guard in Gulbahar Police Station prompting him to lodge a case against her involving sections relating to interference in state affairs, weapon snatching and attempting to manhandle a uniformed officer.
However, the minister has said that misbehavior with the media persons would not be tolerated.
Reportedly, Saima Kanwal, was going live at the time on problems faced by citizens at the registration office.
