Sarfraz Merchant feels govt rescued MQM in money laundering case

Sarfraz said that Scotland Yard had asked Pakistan government for assistance, which was not provided

LONDON (Dunya News) - Sarfraz Merchant said on Thursday that it appears to be government s fault that they could not provide evidence to Scotland Yard in Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) money laundering case, reported Dunya News.

Sarfraz was talking in   Dunya Kamran Khan Ke Saath   as he said that government did not fulfill its duty in the case. Scotland Yard had asked government for assistance but they could not provide it. He said that he feels government helped MQM.

He said that case should have been given more value but it was treated like a police station case. He said that if such had happened in India, they would have taken a stand. He said that government should have raised the issue and should have told that the list of weapons which was found from MQM s chiefs house, those weapons were found in Karachi.
