General Sharif inaugurates fourth Pakistan Battalion at military academy
The army chief has stressed the cadets to grasp skill and get professionally trained
ABBOTTABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif has inaugurated a fourth battalion of Pakistan Army during his visit on Monday to military academy in Kakul.

Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Inspector General of Training and Evaluation at the Pakistan Military Academy welcomed the army chief upon his arrival.
While addressing a ceremony that was organised in connection with inauguration of the fourth battalion, General Sharif said that the officers of the military kept the tradition of fighting in the frontline alive in war on terrorism.
He called for the upcoming generation of military leaders to equip themselves with the highest skill and professional training of every relevant discipline.
“With an enhanced degree of professional ethos, pride and esprit de corps we can meet all challenges effectively and comprehensively,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted the army chief.
Only after acquiring improved education and training could the soldiers effectively face challenges that were faced by the country, he said.
On Sunday, the Chief of the Army Staff paid a visit to Haji Pir Sector along the Line of Control (LoC).
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that General Sharif met with the officers deployed at the frontline and encouraged the strength they put up in tough conditions.
The army chief was also briefed about situation at the Line of Control by the formation commander after being received by Corps Commander General Malik Zafar Iqbal.
Different visits of the COAS to army camps across the country are being reported these days by the media cell of the Pakistan Army, ISPR possibly in light of the tensions with India at the border that escalated last month over attack at Indian army in Occupied Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
