Lahore High Court declared a writ petition against discretionary powers of the President, Prime Minister, governors and chief ministers as non-maintainable on Thursday and dismissed the plea. Ilmuddin Ghazi Advocate in his petition contended that the rulers are using the discretionary powers for political motives, which deny the eligible people from their right but also violate the fundamental human rights. Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed declared the plea as non-maintainable and dismissed it with the remarks that helping or rewarding someone is not a wrongful act.
