DHA land scam: Ex-administrator becomes approver after confessing to charge

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The detained former administrator of Defence Housing Authority Brigadier (retd) Javed Iqbal on Thursday has become approver after confessing to charge.
Under-investigation DHA land case filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken new turn when ex-administrator revealed that Kamran Kiyani sold certificates in market despite assurance.
It was also mentioned in the report that Javed Iqbal admitted the allegations without any pressure as he wanted to unveil the reality.
He said that the agreement with Elysium Company was signed by the consent of DHA executive board and relevant department.
He said that certificates were given to the company for the acquired land on an assurance of not selling them in the market but Kamran Kiyani sold the shares without asking from DHA board.
The accused also pleaded for bail in front of accountability court judge Mohammad Bashir.
Subsequently, the court returned the plea saying that it is incomplete.
