Gilgit-Baltistan: PML-N wins GBLA-18 by-election
PML-N candidate Imran Wakeel secured GBLA-18 seat by getting 3,917 votes.
DIAMIR (Dunya News) – Imran Wakeel of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has won the by-election of GBLA-18 Diamir-4 on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
Polling for by-election in GBLA-18 was started at 8:00am and ended at 4:00pm without any break. According to unofficial result, Imran Wakeel was declared winner by obtaining 3,917 votes while JUI-F candidate Gul Khan secured 2,334 votes and remained second.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has congratulated Imran Wakeel on winning the by-election. Meanwhile, CM Gilgit-Baltistan has said that the success of PML-N in by-election reflects public s confidence in the party s policies.
