Peshawar: Police foil weapons smuggling bid, arrest one suspect

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Peshawar police on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons to Dera Ghazi Khan and arrested a suspect.
According to sources, police personnel stopped a car near check post on Dora road and recovered weapons.
The recovered weaponries include three Kalashnikovs, 25 pistols, five thousand cartridge and 53 magazines.
The weapons could be used in acts of terrorism, police said.
In another operation, police arrested three robbers and recovered arms from their possession.
Investigation has also been launched after filing a case against the criminals.
