PM Nawaz to return on Saturday
After the surgery he was shifted to his residence in London
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Special aircraft will reach London today to pick up Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who will be returning to Pakistan tomorrow after around a month and a half following his open-heart surgery, reported Friday.
The premier was given permission by the doctors to travel back after terming his medical condition satisfactory.
PM Nawaz had gone to London for treatment on May 22 and had undergone a surgery in Harley Street Clinic on May 31.
After the surgery he was shifted to his residence in London.
The premier was waiting for doctors’ permission to fly back to the country as they had advised him to stay in London till he is stable.
Efforts have been put up to reserve landing area for the plane at the Heathrow Airport. However, the plane shall land at the London Stansded Airport if permission to land at Heathrow is not given.
PM shall leave for Pakistan on Saturday morning at 7am. He shall be accompanied by his family members.
The premier is returning soon after a United States-based journalist, Kim Barker alleged Nawaz Sharif of making an inappropriate advance by proposing her to be his special friend .
Barker has leveled allegations against the Prime Minister in her book, “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan”.
She was talking to KERA radio when she explained that while she was interviewing Nawaz Sharif years ago, he offered her to be his special friend and gifted her an iPhone.
According to her, Nawaz Sharif also offered to set her up with former president Asif Ali Zardari.
She goes on to write that she had to ask her boss to not assign Nawaz Sharif s interview to her again as it was getting creepy .
