Holy Quran to be included in curriculum
Education ministry decided to include Quran in curriculum, draft sent to CII for further assistance
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Ministry of Education has on Thursday proposed oral Quran reading for first to fifth grade students. Students from sixth to twelfth grade will be taught translation of Holy Quran.
The curriculum of Holy Quran is ready and will soon be sent to Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) for further assistance. Minister of Education Balighur Rehman personally handed draft of curriculum over to Chairman of CII Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani. The council will review the draft and will give the final verdict on the matter.
